General Rules & Regulations for Library Services
- Library Card is compulsory for entering the library.
- All students, scholars, residents, and staff must keep their bags and belongings at the entrance. Visitors must sign in before entering.
- Only notebooks and library books are allowed inside. Valuables should not be left unattended at the check point.
- The library is not responsible for loss of personal belongings.
- All files, books, and notebooks must be presented to staff/security for inspection while leaving.
- Books must be protected from rain, dust, and insects.
- Books taken from shelves should be placed on the nearest book table, not reshelved by readers.
- Do not deface, mark, cut, mutilate, or damage library resources. Replacement cost will be charged for damage.
- Students, PG/research scholars, and residents can borrow 1 book at a time for 7 days (late fee: Rs. 5/day).
- PG/research scholars and residents can borrow 1 book for 15 days.
- Maintain silence inside the library; no loud conversation or discussion.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited.
- Mobiles must be kept on silent mode.
- No food or beverages inside the library.
- No visitor/guest can use the library without proper membership.
- Photography inside the library requires prior permission from the Librarian.
- The library may recall any issued book/item at any time.
- Library membership card must be carried to avail library services.
